Fundraising tips

Anyone got some good tips to raise funds. Rather than just asking for cash I'd rather try and come up with some novel ways of fundraising. Any ideas?

I believe that individuals as well as teams can set up a page on Active.com for a very small fee. Then you can use their site to email directly to your friends,family and co-workers and then direct them to your page.

If you do a good job on your donation page, it tells the whole story for you. Then people can donate right there on that site via a safe server.

I am doing this with another event, and it works great. you just send people to your page and the rest takes care of itself.
