Hi there, firstly thanks for contacting me. As for the extreme weight loss in such a short period of time i would personally recommend a personal trainer as they can push you to the limits you need to be taining at and the nutritional advice required for the dramatic loss. However if that is not an option for you then the quickest way i would recommend is to go completely vegan with your diet and drink nothing but water or fresh coconut water. Then train hard and preferably twice a day. First thing in the morning you need to be going for about an hours run with a small bodyweight circuit thrown in at the end of the run, and then in the evening you need to be doing maximum effort interval training using bodyweight circuits. Doing this training 6days a week and keeping to a strict vegan diet you should lose weight rather quickly. Hope this helps. Be warned though it will not be easy and having no meat in your diet could make you feel tired more. However if you need meat lol then keep it to fresh chicken or turkey and fish only avoid red meats. If you need anymore help then feel free to contact me again. Thankyou you have been the most helpful :) i know this sounds stupid but what is a 'small body circuit'?

A small body circuit is basically 4-5 bodyweight exercises back to back with no rest between them. I do offer a personal program and nutrition guide that i would write up an email to you. This would cover the training you would need to do over a complete month and also a typical daily nutrition guide. However thos would cost £50 to cover both exercise program and nutrition program. If this does interest you then feel free to email me directly or contact me via my mobile. Please see below

Ok...can I ask because I seem to be getting contradicting information on the internet. They say that in order to lose 1lb of fat in a week you should consume less calories and also aim to burn at least 3500 calories over the week, equating to 500 calories per day. So if I consume about 1800 calories (I am a women in her 20's), do my gym programme daily which consists of 15 mins treadmill, 15 mins bike and weights and also walk about a mile overall during the day would I be getting close to burning 1lb a week?!

Thanks

That might work in the long run and take you a while to burn the calories. One of my pet hates is the whole calorie counting facination, this never works because if you follow the calorie counter on the cardio machines they can be out by a lot as they give a rough estimate for an average person but who can say they fit exactly into the average catagory?? The problem aswell with your workout at the moment is that you are wasting alot of time with the two cardio machines before doing your weights, cardio is actually the worst type of exercise to carry out when trying to lose weight as it releases a hormone in your body called cortisol which tells your body to keep fat stores so that it can continue to sustain the long duration of cardio. you need to being doing 10mins cardio to warm up and then carry out what is called metabolic training to get the best results. As for nutrition if going by calories you would need to work out the daily calorie intake at present and then take away 500calories and consume only that amount to gradually lose weight. On average if only consume around 1200 per day then you should lose weight but it needs to be healthy foods.

hope that helps

ok I see, well at the moment I do 10mins cardio followed by weights which include leg press, shoulder press, abs, bicep curls and tricep dips and then finish with 10 mins on bike or crosstrainer...?!Ya I agree with the calorie counting, it can be quite difficult and annoying...in general I eat every 3-4 hours and would consider myself to have a good diet but I have maintained the same weight for the last year but in the last few weeks have gained a couple of pounds I want to get rid of...

Thanks for advice
