Yep,brilliant place to go,great place to run and the weather was fab....
Sounds perfect! I take it it was just the right temperature? An overly sunny day can be a nightmare for long distances...
I'm nervous about that happening for the Virgin London Marathon this year.. NYC would be a great place to do it in - I'd love to have a holiday like that waiting for me after the race!
I flew to NY on the thursday and had a couple of days before the race to chill out bit. Then stayed for another four days after.Doing marathons abroad is a great way of seeing different places.Nothing to worry about in London it's a fab event well organised with amazing support on the streets....
Have you done many other marathons abroad?
No,that was the 1st one abroad, doing Berlin this September and my 4th London on the trot in a few weeks time....
That's great mate - I hear Berlin is a great one to do! They guy I know that did that also did one in San Francisco, which looks brutal - so many hills!
How are you feeling about the London Marathon?
Really looking forward to my annual trip to the big Smoke.Love the whole weekend, with the crowds and the atmosphere. On the green start aswell so well chuffed !!!!!!
That's good news then - how long do you stay there for?
Annual trip?
Nice, I am very jealous! What does the green start mean? Sorry if that is a stupid question!
No question,s are stupid,if I can help I surely will.Green start for me is because I got a good for age place. It's also where the celebrities start from so it's quite a nice place to be.Was lucky enough to start their 2 years ago,and really enjoyed it pre race......Doing my 4th London marathon this year sp ask any questions you want and I'll try to answer to answer them if I can.Answer to a previous question, usually travel up on Friday, expo in the afternoon, chill out Saturday then have a good few beers Sunday afternoon and travel home Monday.....
