Morning, I am a self taught runner of 3 yearrs.I am hoping to beat my PB at the Great North Run in 5 weeks and get nearer 2 hrs. I am a working Mum with 4 year old twin boys, so I run around family life with just me and the dog. I am hoping to be inspired by this site and keep my running Mo-Jo through Winter....Roll on GNR and hopefully will see the amazing Mo-Bot again !!!Emma, who has post Olympic blues:(
Welcome! Hope you find the site really useful and good luck with your race
Welcome to realbuzz! A lot of people on realbuzz are participating in the Great North Run so if you have any tips about your training we'd love to hear them in the forums!

Welcome Emma
I have the post-Olympic blues big time as well, I keep turning on the TV and finding nothing to watch, this time last week I could have watched any event I wanted!

wish you best of luck in this mission.
Thanks for your kind welcomes and wishes. I am getting nervous now but hoping that the sight of Mo Farah and the Red Arrows keep me going on the day. Training going well-ish....so fingers crossed I will do a reasonable time. Still experimenting will different gels etc..all good fun!!! Hope you all enjoying the end of Summer running :)
Anyone excited about the GNR yet.....?? am nervous!!! :)
