Hi there, not been on the site before but after going through the it closely today, I intend to be on it a lot more. I am running my second Half Marathon (Silverstone). Iv had past two months off due to toe injury and now need to get myself into gear as only have 5 weeks to go. The thought of this is making me feel rather nervous. I wanted to know who else is training for Siverstone and how your training is going?
Hi Kimmzi,
I'm running Silverstone aswell, it will be my first half marathon and also part of my training for London, which will be my first marathon. I'm starting to get a little anxious with the time slowly drawing nearer but i've put in the miles and keep putting in the effort, so I think i'm probably as ready as i'll ever be. As long as I finish with a smile on my face then as far as i'm concerned, it will have been a good race for me.
I hope you manage to get in the training before the day and hope you have an enjoyable race at silverstone.
Good luck.
Failure is not the falling down, but the staying down.
Thank you for your post . Sounds as you though you will do just fine. I managed 7 miles today and will start building up weekly. Just need to cross train in between. Good luck with your training and your races .
Kim :-)
