Many thanks to those that gave me a welcome. It looks like the answer is that Realbuzz is a non-event in Australia at the monent given the underwhelming Aussie response to date.

Answers to question - 

1. Yes, Hervey Bay is famous for whale watching and as a gateway to the magnificent Fraser Island.

2. Yes, I am a runner, guilty as charged. Haven't really used Realbuzz to log my runs, mainly been on Fitocracy lately.
