I didn't see the intro forum and just went and posted a big post in the 'London marathon 07' section, which sucks... But erm anyway
My names Adam, yes im 14... Not running with the marathon yet but alot of people in my family are and I hope to join them one day soon... Though for now I'd be very interested in doing any under 18 stuff?
Heres what I wrote in my other post... Sorry to repost it.
"Hey guys, first off... Bloody well done yesterday, you did very well especially considering the heat, and my respect to the 22 year old man if he is on this website.
I have been going to the london marathons since about 2000, either watching my dad, uncle, aunt or all of them, and I have always wanted to take part, at the moment I take part in a sport called 'Parkour' or 'Free-running' a sport that keeps you physically fit and constantly on your toes, I jog between my parents houses alot which keeps me fit and I also take part in the 100 metre sprint and long/high jump at school, yup! School!
I'm 14 and as I said been watching the marathon for seven years and I wanted to know how I could get involved instead of standing at the side, blowing my party hooter, waving balloons, shouting as loud as I can and blowing as much money as I can on jelly babies and fruit pastels.
Is there a under 18 marathon type thing? I'd happily train for the 26.2 mile marathon but I'm guessing I won't be able to smuggle myself into that. So, anyway, if you know how to get involved in something under 18's then let me know.
And also im basically starting from the beggining when it comes to training, so if anyones from the southampton/portsmouth area of england that trains regulaly look me up aswell..
Well done again for yesterdays performance guys
