Running in The Lake District!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Heading off to the Lake District for New Year (Bowness-on-Windermere) to be exact and was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good runs, both on road and off road, up in the hills. Off road is my preference, but the weather may dictate sticking to tarmac, unfortunately! Any ideas or suggestions most appreciated! Have a good one! Thanks.

Wow! You lucky lucky git. Spoilt for choice, get your OS Explorer maps out and go enjoy yourself! Even if things are a bit grey and icy up high, there's still a ton of lower level trails to choose from - you won't need tarmac.
