Night owls vs early birds

Apparently night owls tend to have higher IQs than early birds, but are more emotionally unstable and more likely to have addictions and eating disorders!

What do you think? Are you a night owl or an early bird? And do you think these characteristics are true?

I'm definitely a night owl, I hope I'm not emotionally unstable though! I do like being a night owl, but perhaps not so much after reading this

I'd like mornings better if they started later.

I'm definitely an early bird - never really had a problem getting up in the mornings, except in the winter when it's cold, dark and rubbish! I guess that means I'm going to need to work on my IQ?!

Hurrah, I'm a night owl! Glad to see that something good comes out of it. Have you seen those light aarlm clocks - the ones that fill your room with light to wake you up easier? I might try one. Has anyone else had one before?

I’m a night owl too, not very good with mornings at all! I’ve wanted to get one of those alarms for ages, they’re supposed to be really good. I’m worried they wouldn’t be enough to wake me though as I’m not good at getting up?

I'm an early bird with the personality traits of a night owl... just to confuse it all!! haha

Early bird on weekdays, night owl on weekends... what does that meant then??? Money mouth

Which do you prefer?!

My Mother was a real night owl. She was also a raging alcoholic and seriously overweight (but beautiful with it)....I guess she proves the theory at least. I'm def a night owl, hate mornings love to party all night, and yes I have a very addictive personality and there are probs those out there that would say I am emotionally unstable???.........~

I'm a night owl - although can do morning's at a reasonable time. Don't think I could be considered emotionally unstable.

I have one of these - highly recommend getting one because they really do work! So much nicer than being rudely awoken by an alarm going off!

I'm not too bad in the morning but I'm more of an night owl.

Early bird I s'pose, I normally roll out of bed round about quarter to seven, and generally go to bed between 11 and half past. I do find mornings a bit weird though - sometimes it seems like one minute its half pasyt six and the next its quarter to seven, and somehow the minutes in between have been skipped

Dunno, but they're both enforced really  - midweek due to work, weekends due to lie in!

Totally true, although it's not very smart of me to stay up so late when I have to get up early... I find it very hard to wind down though, I get very alert around 11pm-midnight. Too much going on in my head. Whether that makes me smarter or not I don't know - there's certainly quantity but I can't vouch for the quality :)
