I have just been told about these things called ear candles and they're supposed to help clear your ears of wax they sound really odd! has anyone heard of them or used them?

They're supposed to work but id be careful with your ears, it's easy to damage them

I've heard really good things about them. Two friends had it done and said they could hear so much better afterwards and it's supposed to be excellent for relieving sinus problems. You can get little kits from Boots to remove ear wax at home too. It's done a different way though - instead of using candles I believe it's more of a liquid substance that you put in your ears. If you're worried about damaging your ears, it might be best to get them syringed at the doctor's :)

Yes I have heard of these also.  You have to read the instructions carefully though it says something about drinking a milky drink afterwards to balance something in your head but if you don't you can wake up with a splitting headache.

My Mum had the Hopi ear candle treatment at a spa as she suffers from blocked ears and headaches, and it seemed to work. If anything, just the relaxing music and aromatherapy smells did her good!

Eeeek that doesn't sound nice. I've heard of them too but would be too worried to use them.

My friend used a ear wax removal kit from Boots and said it was amazing!
