Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys ONLY run? I mean, do you spend some time doing core training, and/or some time doing the gym thing? All of the above?

I'll start:

I run 5 days a week and do core training 2 or sometimes 3 times a week.

I do Pilates 2 or 3 times a week.

Sometimes I do Pilates on the same days I run.

I run 7 days a week. I get in at least one speed work and at least one long run (10+). I try to get between 40-70 miles of running. I don't do a whole lot of cross-training unless I play basketball or swim with friends.

My fastest 5-K times came when I was lifting for distance. I was dropping about 30 seconds from the previous year's races.

Pylometrics are easy ways to build up speed. I also work on hills at least once a week.

I run 7 days a week. I vary the intensity and mileage, usually staggered by 5, 7, and 11 mile intervals. That's 4 days a week x 5 miles, 2 days a week x 7 miles and 1 day a week x 11 miles. I hope to add more miles soon. My goal is to achieve between 75 and 90 miles a week.
