Foods for Fitness!

Hi everyone!

I've been looking through previous posts and am a litte confused...I completed the London Marathon last year and really enjoyed it.  Unfortunately I didn't manage to get a place this year but want to train for 2013.  I didn't have an eating plan as such I just kept healthy and ate what felt right, during the race I ate jelly babies, enerygy sweets, sports drinks and water....gels made me gag too!

 

So for 2013 I want to be even better and am trying to research the best possible diets.  I already eat wholegrain foods and consume a fair bit of water per day but would like advice on the foods that worked for you!

 

Any help would be great!
