How'd everybody do yesterday? Whos was in Central Park? Did you guys meet each other? How'd it go?
I'm running MCM (Marine Corps Marathon ) - Jung Soo and I met at the Norwalk (CT) 1/2 and added on some miles. Don't know about you, but I'm sore today. And was very tired yesterday...
Only a few more long runs left on the training Calendar

What a great training run!!!! This is an AWESOME way of doing a long training run (especially for those of us who have never run this distance before!) The NYRR really did a great job of hosting, everything was so well organized. And I got to meet Gary and Lynne who are running NY beforehand (Sorry you woke up late Katherine!).
They had pace teams and they staggered each group, so that you could stay with your group for each loop. There was a 6 mile loop, we ran the 5 mile loop twice, and then finished with a 4 mile loop, and there was a brief 5 minute recovery after each loop, where there were bathrooms, Powerade gel, water and fruit/food. My left knee was stiff and sore in the third loop, but it worked out so I could finish in 3:32!!! I'm very happy to have jumped that hurdle, and now I know the Marathon is within reach!!!
My reward (after an afternoon of recovery) was a great night out in Manhattan!!!

NYC training run was FABULOUS. I agree completely the NYRR put on a great show. I was indeed late to get there, but pulled off 18 miles still - no regreats. I am running the Philly 1/2 this weekend and feel nice a strong for that run. It is a great race.
