Any family activities in the area?

Hi, I'm bringing my family to the Ottawa race but was wondering whether there are many family activities/trips to enjoy in the local area. My family and I will probably stay a few days either side of the event itself...

The options are limitless really. We have the Canadian Museum of Nature, Museum of Civilization (with a children's museum), the Canadian War Museum to name a few.

There are tours of the city via double decker buses, on the Rideau Canal on a tour boat for instance.

It is a touch early as we are looking into various packages that we are trying to put together for families on Race Weekend. It depends on whether our marketing plans are approved.
