When is the marathon? Are you signed up for it Carly_A? I reckon this would be a fun one to do.

No, but my friend recently signed up, so contemplating going to watch her next April (I think it's just before the London Marathon). Thought I'd be a good friend and see if I could pass on any tips.

Exactly! Do you know if the route goes passed the Eiffel Tower/any other landmarks?

I imagine it would. I'd be really disappointed if I siged up to run it and it didn't go past any of the landmarks.

Very true! Apparently it goes past the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.

That's good. You could browse round some of the sights while you're waiting for your friend. Although I guess as you would be going to watch her run she may not appreciate you going off up the Eiffel Tower instead haha.

Probably not... I'd probably stay for a few days after the race to do a bit more sightseeing though, so I'd see everything else then

yeah that would be great, you might be too tired to actually walk around though. I reckon that would be hard work! Maybe you could go around the city in a horse-drawn carriage! lovely

That sounds nice. There's so many places to see there!

I'm running it on 7th April :)! By the looks of it, it goes past a few landmarks in Paris (Place de la Concorde, place de la Bastille, chateau de vincennes, notre dame, louvre, musee d'orsay, eiffel tower) and it starts and finishes near to the arc de triomphe! Looking forward to it!

Shame not to run with a camera with all of those landmarks on offer!
Very true, maybe get one of those head cam things!
Haha, make for a great youtube video for all of those running Paris next year
It would probably make you a bit dizzy watching it though!

Haha yeah it probably would make you a bit dizzy. I guess a lot of the time you'd just be watching other runners' backs too.
