Traffic getting to start

Hi. We are looking at staying out at King of Prussia (depends if I can walk next day whether any shopping will be done!!). Can anyone advise me of what the traffic is like getting into the start line. My husband and kids will drop me off but we have no idea what the traffic will be like. I have heard horror stories about the Schulykill (sorry not sure of the spelling) Expressway but not sure what it will be like early on a Sunday.
Any advice greatly appreciated

If you will be traveling on the Schuylkill early on Sunday morning, the morning of the Marathon, I would estimate your actual travel time would be about 35 mins from King of Prussia. Traffic on a Sunday morning is typically very light. You may struggle with parking once you get into the city though. I usually allow an additional 15-20 mins to find a parking spot and to walk to the location.

if you're really scared about traffic, can leave early, and don't mind the walk, consider taking the GIrard Avenue exot, and parking at the Zoo.

It does leave you with a Mile and a 3/4 walk (or warm up) to the start.....but if you walk over Girard Avenue Bridge, you can actually check out the 14 mile mark back to the start.

And you wont be fighting traffic, or sweating out trying to find a spot in a garage.

the Ben Franklin Parkway exit will back up, and your best bet is to get off at Broad Street if you want to find downtown (Center City) parking
