I ran the Reading Half this year and it was my first ever. And I've just entered it again. Glutton for punishment methinks but I am weirdly looking forward to it again, despite my toe bleeding through my sock :)

what sort of training do you do before hand, especially last year when it was your first time? I run 3 times a week- 4 miles during the week and 6 at weekends and having signed myself up for the half marathon, I'm hoping I'll be able to get up to standard to complete it in 2hrs 25 (or something like that)

Hi CP. I also ran the Reading HM this year and I'm thinking of doing it again in 2010 as part of a marathon build up. I've ran a few Half Marathons and I though the organisation at Reading was excellent.

Just a quick not about bleeding toes.. usually when that happens it's a sign that your footwear isn't quite right. Were you wearing the same shoes you trained in? Did you have similar problems, like sore toes or blisters on the end of your toes, while training?
