Can someone recommend a good book about nutrition for runners? I am shooting from the hip here and could really use the help.
Thanks.
The best book I've found on the subject is called "Nutrition for Marathon Running" by Jane Griffin.
Second best was "Runner's World Performance Nutrition for Runners: How to Fuel Your Body for Stronger Workouts, Faster Recovery, and Your Best Race Times Ever".

As a new distance runner, I thoroughly enjoyed Nancy Clark's "Food Guide for Marathoners" and found it very useful.
She discusses what to eat while training as well as while running the marathon or half-marathon itself. She devotes space to how many calories should be carbs, how many should be fat, and how many should be protein.
Great help!
