I just got on this Forum today for the first time. I have never run a marathon before. I signed up for the half-marathon in Fargo this year. It is something I have seen every year since 2005 and I was always intimidated by it for some reason. I'm not a runner. I walk usually. But these last 10 or so weeks, I have been involved in a weight loss program and have been getting amazing results, just walking and running on a treadmill. I wanted to take it to the next level or something, maybe have a goal, so when I heard about this, I figured this is it. Anyway, I just wanted to post something here to see what others are doing for training in the area. I see people running all the time and wonder if they are getting ready for this too. I look forward to corresponding with you all here in the next couple months and hope that we can all be a source of support for one another.

Welcome!
I am new to this forum, not new to this area. There are a lot of runners in the area.
Just focus on your long run. I have never done Fargo, but I have heard it is fun!
Enjoy!
