Can England win the Women's World Cup or are the hosts and holders, Germany, too strong?
Have seen a bit of the women's footy recently and would say that it's come on leaps and bounds as compared to the quality of the game that first appeared on the TV probably around 20 years ago. Then it just seemed to be full of overweight women kicking lumps out of each other. Nowadays the game is so much more professional and the quality of play from countries especially US, Germany, Norway and China is impressive.
As to England's chances in the World Cup, they've probably got as good a chance as they've ever had.
Here, there and everywhere!

One thing I will give the women is that due largely to the fact that they have pretty unfair salary caps in their leagues they are p[laying purely for the enjoyment of the game and that is commendable whatever you say about the quality of the game.

Japan v USA in the final. Not many would have put money on that at the start. England losing on penalities. Many would have put money on that.
I have not seen any coverage of this - was it televised on the BBC?
