Talking recently about sports that you've tried but absolutely hated. For me, has to be ice skating. Totally crap at it and had too much fear of going over on my ankle or having my fingers sliced off. Managed to lose a very expensive watch and rip my thumbnail off while ice skating, so understandably I will never ever do it again. What sports have you lot all tried but hated?
If you like your football then get over to Footyextra and join the banter.

I don't think I've ever hated a sport I've tried. I dislike cricket but playing it wasn't too bad. I absolutely suck at golf but love playing.
I remember not enjoying table tennis as part of GCSE PE and the instructor kept saying I was rubbish, I couldn't serve very well and my technique was poor. He gave me a D grade. Then we had a winner stays on tournament at the end of term and I didn't leave the table for 2 hours, so he marked me up to a B. I quite liked it after that.

Climbing on an indoor climbing wall. Ok, I was crap but isn't it the most pointless activity there is?

it's good safe practise for climbing up a mountain and not plummeting to your death.......

Swimming for me!...I am unfortunately not one of lifes'..."just chuck him, in he'll float" people!. Something to do with bone structure, muscle weight???......I love swimming, I have taught all my children to swim (very well) and I am determined one day to do a Triathlon, but needless to say, the hardset leg for me will be the swimming. I will do it though!....~

You can't claim body shape disadvantage here Flanker, bigger builds are an advantage in the pool - it's chaps like me that have it tough!
Anyway swimming, contrary to popular belief, is rarely natural to anyone. Those guys you see gliding up & down the pool effortlessly have usually put in hours & hours of work to get there. I was the most useless swimmer going when I was young - the crawl I can do now for several km at a time with no bother was carved out of the solid rock of my ineptitude through relentless practice!
Not so green as 'm cabbage-looking!

Golf is one sport that absolutely drives me crazy. Quite liked it at first when I didn't take it too seriously, but once you start trying to improve and you don't it becomes the most infuriating sport ever. I therefore don't play any more because it helps me stay sane avoiding it.

Ice hockey.... Loved it at first, but after so many falls and bruises, and finding out that I can't cheat.... totally hate it now.....

Not keen on squash. Always have this feeling that I'm either going to get hit by the ball or hit by the follow through of a racket which makes it more than unnerving. Much prefer badminton or tennis.

Never keen on gymnastics at school. I always had a fear of injuring myself and was never keen on doing any of the vaults, even with someone on hand to catch you if it went awry.
