Girly sports

I'm looking to take up a sport but, being a proper girly girl, I'd like a "girly" sport (ie. no football, rugby or, erm, wrestling) - anyone got any ideas?

Ok so you're a girl who wants to kick arse and sport a tiara right? People run in fancy dress all the time so I would say you should train for one of the Disney Half Marathons say The Tinkerbell or The Princess - that way you can be girley in your attire and get one of the coolest medals EVER. Another great girley sport is Tennis - more for the Summer but Tennis ensembles now are really cute, they even have skirts/dresses with spangels! One emerging trend is to incorporate a cocktail-attire look into performance clothes, especially if you're playing under the lights at night. It works for Maria Sharapova, very girley. PLUS it's a serious sport, tennis coaches are hot and you can enjoy champagne and strawberries after your matches! Good Luck :)

I'd love to do the princess half marathon (the only half marathon I'd attempt... the medal looks so pretty!), it'd be ace to run as a princess!

I really like playing badminton, although I'm not best at it.

Ice skating is super girly or horse riding (can get a little dangerous though and expensive). If you want something competitive then netball is the ultimate girls sports and it's so popular there are teams everywhere.

I was never a big fan of netball - didn't like being stuck to the spot with the ball.

I'd love to learn to ice skate - I can barely stand on the ice at the moment, so I think it'd take a fair while.

Yeah netball is a great girly sport! Also dancing, gymnastics and cheerleading are very girly.

My girlfriend goes power walking with her friend -that's quite girly? And my sister does it with her daughter in the buggy around the park! They've all said it's great exercise though.

I've never tried squash - that can get pretty competitive can't it. I can imagine I'd get hit in the face quite a lot...

i got hit on the bum once.  really stung and it left a perfect round purple bruise which lasted 2 weeks! But i'm not really competitive.  Me and my mate play and we just play for fun.

ouch, i've always been scared of that happening! It's great for you though. My mate was really overweight and he played squash 3 x a week and lost so much weight.

Me too! So scared of squash, do you wear goggles to play?

Thanks for the tips! I always used to like netball, so that's a good option, and I'd love to do horse riding an cheerleading (not together)!

Painful much?!! I don't think my reactions are quick enough- I'd probably have round purple bruises all over me!

I used to love netball; what was / is your favourite position?

I was always Wing Defense as you didn't have to do much and didn't have much responsibility!
