Hi all
Congrates to all who have a place in next years marathon, I have done half marathons over the years and thought best up my goals to a marathon!
For the last few months I have been fund-raising and running but picked up a injury about 2 months ago - long storey short and after various pple poking/massaging/prodding and then having special insoles in my trainers I can run again!..............well if it wasn't for the snow!! 5 wk ago I was up to a 15 miles run once a week with mini runs inbetween...... - not run now for 5 week and my first encounter of running was this Sat on a treadmill for 20min and hated it! don't know about you but i am NOT a treadmills friend! only the road will do me - so please no more snow!
Do feel a sligh panic now as April doesnt seem that long away - and 26 point whatever miles DOES feel a long way!
I am still raising money and I am bag packing at M&S a week on Saturday - lets hope everyone is in the giving Christmas spirit!
Keep up the trainaing eveyone - any motivational words are welcome!
Ali
Hi Ali,
I know exactly how you feel! April is just around the corner & not too long left! I was battling with shin splints a couple of months back but after a good rest & couple of weeks or hard work, I seem to be back on track! Funny enough I prefer running on the tredmill but I'm determined to bare the cold conditions and take it outside! (it's snowing as I type haha)
Good luck with the training! When you put your mind to it, anything is possible!!
