Favourite American sport

What's your favourite American sport to watch? I saw a live baseball game not too long ago which was pretty good... not that I could really keep up with what was going on and who was winning etc.. I think I mainly enjoyed it for the hot dogs and beer!

Totally agree. I've been to a lot of baseball games and it's a fantastic few hours. The new Yankees stadium in NY is unbelievable!

I'd love to see a game of baseball - it reminds me of all the best films, field of dreams, Bull Durham and what was that one with Madonna in (don't think that one was very good though).

A league of their own I think!  Yeah I've seen a baseball game- it was good, although initially we were sitting behing this massive white post, until this guy gave us some better seats- which was nice! I like the baseball music they play and the hot dogs were guuuud!

I'd really like to go and see an Ice Hockey game... (I watched Mighty Ducks recently...*quack)

CAll me boring but good ol' American Football, as much for the spectacle as the actual game although i can imagine that it's incredibly 'hard hitting' and exciting when they actually manage to play the game between time outs, advert breaks, offence/defence team changes etc...no wonder it takes so long to finish a game.

I'm no fan of any particular American sports but guess I would like to take in a ball game, kinda like one of those things that you should do before you die. Either that or experience the Superbowl just once.

Yeah the Super bowl would be awesome to watch- bet it would be a great atmosphere

I never have understood American football to I think it would have to be baseball for me - just a rounders gal at heart!

Most American sports don't appeal purely because I don;t know the rules. Americans must view cricket in the same way I view baseball. Until you bother to get to grips with the rules it will always be a struggle to like them.

Isn't it America's national sport? They all excel at it.

Well they host competitions in it so maybe it is!

American Football-can't say I really understand what's going on when it's on but I like the atmosphere and the beer

Baseball - it takes loads of skill to hit a ball that fast with a bit of wood that thin...i've tried it and couldnt hit s**t (technical expression for 'useless')

Gotta be ice hockey for the 'off-puck' punch ups...

Yep, I think Ice hockey - not only an invasion sport but a combat one too - those matches are fierce.

They do look brutal- they go so fast- I can barely stand still on ice without falling over...

Riding around on those little scooter things that are only used by the elderly here...so much fun!
