Greetings all,

This is my first marathon and has come about in a random sort of way.

I was planning a trip to Chicago and Tennessee when a friend I was planning to visit informed me that he'd decided to run. Me being me thought, 'well I can do that too'.

I wondered if there were any other out there that were running their first marathon or if anyone has any helpful tips.

I have started my schedule and I am aiming for 3hrs 30. I am in the very early stages but I am running as hard as I can and I'm able to run around 7:30 minute miles up to the 6 that I have done. Is it going to be feasable to aim for such a time?

Anyhow, I look forward to hearing from everyone going and tips/travel arrangements!
