Hi ... I will probably be running C2S Half Marathon this year but I am in another state !! (In WA ,Perth) - check out Jem - I know she is running it along with 80,000 others
80,000 people sounds crazy! People can enter with prams as well can't they?

Juliebee is correct, I'm running it too along with approx 80,000 others!
I ran it last year for the first time and the atmosphere was amazing. It's a fairly tough course due to the hills and of course the congestion, but worth it just for the feeling of relief and the view when you turn the corner and run down the final hill into Bondi. I would definitely recommend it as a must do race for anyone living in or visiting Australia.

I think RoundRachel is doing it too. She will be over in Oz visiting her sister in Sydney

I've become acquainted with this race through some of the work realbuzz is doing with it. It looks superb. Come on realbuzz trip to the Aussie office for jack87 please!!

I have conducted a Lazy Runner Tour to this event over the last few years and we have a blast, last year 35 runners came, we stay at the start line (which is fantastic as we dont have to try to get there with 80,000 other runners), and we love to celebrate afterwards in Bondi

Not sure I understand this. Do you actually run the race?

I'm running it too. This will be my second time. Great fun.
Looks like an awesome race - does everyone end up in the pub?
We love this one - one of the best event's in Australia's running calendar - anyone can run, it's a awesome party atmosphere and a must see if you can't take part. Just watching it is an inspiration.

I like the sound of a run with a party atmosphere! What's the heat like at that time of year though? I guess with that many people taking part it must be quite a bearable temperature.
I ran in C2S for the first time last year and absolutely loved it! 14k just flies by when you are running with so many people and spectators dressed in all sorts of bizarre outfits. To be honest I didn't find heartbreak hill all that painful either...so needless to say, I'm definitely heading back again this year.
would love to race in it to be fair but need to prepare

Well you can always walk it - people walk it with babies in prams apparently - I don't think you need to be a full on runner to do it.
That's great that so many people get involved - must be a great one to watch!
