Fastest half marathon in Britain?
Does anyone have a view what might be the fastest half marathon in Britain?
So far I have ran Bath, Bristol, Brighton and Silverstone. My view is that is they fall in this order in terms of 'speed' or PB potential, top being quickest.
No but can safely say it isn't Worksop- hills, hills and more hills!
i know they say the fastest marathon is Edinburgh!!.. but that probably doesnt help you sorry
One life ..live it!!!!!!
apparently slow is the new fast!
I'd say silverstone
The last 2 miles of silverstone was a constant uphill slog, and it lacks spectators! A great run but I would not do it again!
the great eastern run (peterborough) by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Motor's 100 Marathon Mission
26 Marathons and 3 Ultras done only 71 to go
Wants to be a Wannabe.
50 to do and will let you know when I'm there - but am still one ahead of Sir C de Custarde....oh no, hang on...am now TWO ahead......mwah ha haaaaaaa.
Belvoir in Leicestershire. Got my PB there.
Someone told me Worksop was a good place for a PB. Ive never forgiven them for that. Especially after the 1st hill.
Gt Bentley in Essex. Flat as a pancake
I PB'd there in 2009, and again this year
Eventually you learn that the competition is against the little voice inside you that wants you to quit
My PB course is Bath, because I find the gentle undulations help me. However, tomorrow's Paddock Wood half is pretty rapid, although it's full this year, so if you want to give it a try in 2014, it's a nice course.
41 marathons and counting. Last time: 4.30.22 at Brighton. Next one: Bewl, although I shall be marshalling near the Tower of London on Sunday.
Still two behind Nuala...
