What events are people doing pre VLM this year? I did the Milton Keynes half a couple of weeks ago, and think it might be worth doing another event before April 22nd - any suggestions?
I'm doing a 10k Good Friday run over here in Guernsey. Very limited on races held over here compared to the UK, so it will have to do!
Hey-ho here I go

Running for ABF The Soldiers' Charity
It's just gone, but the silverstone half is always a great one in preparation for VLM
Yeah, that one looked really good - might have to enter in next year - no plans for another marathon at the mo, but I could definitely manage some halves.

It does look like a lot of fun, probably one of the most unique places to do a run!
It strikes me that Silverstone would be absolutely baking if it was a nice day, which wouldn't be ideal!
No, it really wouldn't. I can't believe how close VLM is getting now!
How long is it now? 26 days?
25 and counting.
I am doing the Belvoir Half in my build up. Not long now.

Good luck with the Belvoir Half - when are you going to start your taper?
25 and counting.
It's come round very quickly isn't it! Are you looking forward to the taper?
I always wondered whether silverstone might be a bit bleak. Running around a flat race track - not sure it appeals. Anyone really recommend it?

Yeah, it's nice to cut back on the amount of time I spend running on a Sunday, although it wasn't a great taper run, and I was really feeling it in my legs when I get home.

Completely missed this question. lol
I saw the Belvoir half as part of my taper as my 20 mile LSR was the week before. It gave 2 weeks in between the Belvoir and London to reduce even more.
Loved London and would do it again.
