I saw that Liverpool do an annual 10k and 5k fun run for women which I'm thinking of signing up for. Has anyone done this before?

I haven't no, but I've done the 5k race for life events and a 4k santa dash! Doing a 10k this Sept too.

Which 10k are you doing? I was thinking of signing up for that Liverpool 5k this year but registration doesn't seem to be open yet, so wonder if they're not having the event this year.

My Auntie has done that one, she said it was really fun
Not sure about registration, perhaps try phoning the event organisers and ask them what's going on?
Good idea! Registration's still not open so doesn't look like it will be on this year, but will ring and see!

Are there any others you were considering if that one is not on?
Registration for this opened at the weekend, you should be able to sign up for it now if you go to the website! I'm thinkin of signin up for it but not decided yet.

I might give it a go! Do you know where the course is - is it in Sefton Park?
Yeah it's Sefton Park! It's part of a big running festival they've got on so should be quite fun

They seem to have lots of running races in Liverpool there's the tunnel run too. Sefton is a good place to run round, lots of different routes you can take

Yeah I was tempted to sign up for the tunnel one but I'm not quite sure I'm up to that yet! Is it a 10K?
Yes Sefton is a good place for running, used to run round there while I was training for my last 5K.

I think the 10k tunnel run is supposed to be quite tough mentally, because you can see the long climb fo ages. My friend did it and he said it was the hardest 10k he's ever done
Hmm maybe will give that one a miss then!!

I would have to run that one with my eyes closed- seeing an incline like that in front of me would make me want to give up automatically!
