Just entered this as my marathon substitute. I know 10k and marathon don't exactly seem the same
but I love the idea of the route past big ben, buckingham palace, london eye etc...
Anyone else running it or run it previously?
Hi - I've entered to run this as well but not done it before
I've never heard of this one, was going to ask where it was until you mentioned big ben etc, now I think I can guess haha. When is this race?

It's on the 8th of July hannah_mc - are you thinking of entering?

I'm actually really looking forward to this, I've not seen or heard much of it before It's just that I see it in a copy of runners world
I ran this in 2010. Thoroughly enjoyed it, although the start was very narrow and took longer for me to get through than it did on the London Marathon from sector 9 this year. I seem to remember quite a few people had finished before I'd started.
Also I think there were no chips so you have to self time on this!
Great race though, thinking of running myself!
Thank you for that bit of infor.
Guaranteed entry includes chip timing this year
Good news re the chip. Just seen the only way to enter is the guaranteed £50 way. Bit too dear for pricey for me, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
If you missed getting a place in the London 10k on 8th July, Headway East London still has guaranteed places available. The places are free, but runners are asked to aim to raise at least £300 in sponsorship money. This is easier than you think, especially if your employer will offer to match what you collect (ask them!) You will receive a Headway East London running vest and fundraising advice/support. Find out more about our charity at www.headwayeastlondon.org
This run will have a real buzz to it, just weeks before the Olympics. Sign up today. Spaces are limited, and must be filled by 28th June. Please email me at support-us@headwayeastlondon.org
