LaSalle Chicago Marathon

Hi Everyone...

Is anyone else in for the Chicago Marathon this year?

Anyone done it before got any advice/tips on the track/event?

Hey abritabroad - have thought about chicago, seemed like a lesser known alternative to NY, i am trying to go from the Uk so i have been doing a bit of research and found this link to the course - mile by mile breakdown.

Chicago certainly seems to be well organised so far.. I think entry is closed now HAN75 but its worth remembering that they are more likely to give you a space as you are Brit - I registered as Canadian (where I am now) and got in no questions. I think they must have an allowance of foreign places which they are keen to fill. It looks very good for the organisers if they pull in a big international crowd.

Chicago is great as flights are pretty cheap - and I prefer it to NY any day - a much nicer city...
