Hotels close to the race

Can anyone recommend a hotel close to the marathon? Also, I read about the traffic jams getting into the race. Is there a gate to enter to avoid the traffic jam?

These are across the street from Wright State University/Ervin J Nutter Center where the Expo and the 5k start and finish.

The only gate for the Start/Finish of Saturday's events will be the Museum gate off Springfield Pike. It can get a little congested before the Marathon start so plan accordingly.
