Since I'm not certain how they're going to block SR 444/Springfield Pike, I'll describe the long route, but it will also include directions to the Wright State University spectator area in addition to the Fairborn area.
From the entry of the National Museum of the US Air Force, turn left on Springfield Pike. Follow that to Harshman Road/Woodman Drive. Turn left onto Harshman/Woodman and follow that until you come to Airway Road. That will turn into Col. Glenn Highway. At the Ervin J Nutter Center, turn left and follow that road down the hill. That will take you to the Wright State University spectator area around mile 5.
Retrace your steps to get back to Col. Glenn Highway and turn left. Follow that until it dead ends at Kauffman Avenue. Turn right. Follow Kauffman until you see South Central Avenue. From there find a place to park and follow the noise. The Marathon will cross South Central at Main Street and at West Xenia Avenue. Make sure you stop by Bookery Fantasy to pick up a few comic books.
