...anyone out there in Buzzerland doing this event on Sunday - or the half ??  Fab event but sold out a while ago like most do these days. My 5th time there - 4th doing the full and first was at the half. Have had good and bad runs there and my time in 2009 was my mara PB for a while, only broken this April at Brighton.

I love it and am looking forward to it. No time in mind really but will be aiming for 4.15 but we'll see what happens on the day. It will be my 34th marathon and is up there as one of my favourites now.  Laughing

I was going to do it again Nu but alas I'm still too fat.....have a good one though. I totally agree it's a lovely course and a really good event. Hope there are some other buzzers out there doing it.

Thx Flanker and yes Radioman - I had an image of Flanker as being some kind of Adonis.....shucks. Foot in Mouth

No, have not thought about Liverpool mara as it's a wee bit too far for me to travel, being a southern softie that I am, but it does sound good. My plan is to have run 17 maras this year to keep on target to get to 50 at Brighton 2014 - done 11 already, so it all gets rather expensive and I try to keep hotel stays/petrol costs to a minimum and whilst it's great to try different ones, I am kind of tending to keep as local as possible. I am in Milton Keynes in December which will be furtherest I have travelled this year and probably as far as I want to go....lol. Surprised

That, s pity Nu as I would have come and given you a cheer, and possibly had you in as a guest on my programme as well. Ah well. I tried to persuade Flanker to come and run Liverpool, but he gets a nosebleed if he moves north of London !!!!!!Sealed

Hey Nu - I am doing the Enigma December one too!

Oh and didnt do New Forest this year.  I had a go at the Beauty and the Beast marathon yesterday.  Man, that was the hardest run i have ever done (found it tougher that a 35 mile ultra).  The hills in it were ridiculous!!  Worth a go next year if you fancy it.

Funnily enough, as I was driving back home last night from outside the city limits, I passed a sign that said "Welcome to Liverpool (unless you're a FAT FLANKER) !!!!! Even Kofi Anan might struggle to negotiate Flank's admittance !!!! Definitely get you in for an interview Nu if you're headinging this weay!!!!!!!

By the way Flanks, Cilla and Tarby have both become artificial Scousers and have been for years. The emigrated to the soft South many years ago !!! "Step inside love.........."Smile

Hey Motor - am only doing one day of Enigma -Saturday. I might go back in Feb to do a double as part of Quadzilla as am now training for Comrades next year and it has been suggested that a double is good to do as part of training....altho I reman to be convinced. Am more liking idea of a LSR from home on a Saturday then a local mara on the Sunday. Am on a 'special' reserve list with Foxy so we'll see. Smile

A pal of mine did Beauty  run and was supposed to come to NF with me yesterday but had got a calf injury on Saturday so had to forgo NF. He said it was great but yes, very tough. He has done over 500 maras so for him to say that it must be true. He did say tho to put it on calender for next year. Laughing
