Takeaways

My family got a Chinese takeaway last night and I opted out... and had bananas on toast instead (not much of a replacement) but I felt better for it. Can you resist the temptation?

I do succumb to fish & chips quite a bit  but that is about the only one I buy for myself. Sometimes at my parents' house I have takeaway curry and I've never managed to opt out of that.

I can resist quite happily for most takeaway but we do enjoy a curry... less washing up, less mess and we get to relax for a bit rather than walk in from work and start preparing food. We get takeaway twice in the month (so we each pay). Our local indian is fab, it's a restaurant and the takeaway is equally as good as the restuarant meals.

I enjoy a good splash out occasionally but generally in a good restaurant with friends. The restaurant experience is my preference.

I have a weakness to Chinese, if someone in my house is ordering one I literally can't resist getting one as well Frown

A Chinese restaurant opened down the road from us about two years ago. They make rather tasty food, and to begin with, I frequented that establishment far too often. Now, though I go much less frequently.

Unfortunately, I've discovered a local chippy that makes amazing food, such as belly pork, braised steak, chicken casserole. The good news is that it only opens 3 days a week, so I don't get too much of an opportunity to go there!

I'm exactly the same. I'd much rather hold out and go for one slap-up meal in a restaurant a month rather than have two or three take-aways

I'd always choose a restaurant meal- usually an Italian- over a takeaway. If I was going to have curry/fish & chips/ chinese food I'd much rather make it myself i.e. stir fries with noodles, vegetable curry and home made hand-cut chips

Sometimes I find myself really craving the unhealhier, shop versions, especially fish n chips. Although the homemade stuff actually tastes better and leaves you feeling fresher, sometimes you just want something naughty! I have a chinese on the last Friday of every month. Limiting it to a certain time makes sure I don't stray.

I'm the same, limit yourself to a certain amount, once amonth, and you'll feel too guilty to stray. I prefer indian to chinese though.
