Hi all,

Would very much like a wee chat on BMI. I joined a gym a couple of years back as a 42 year old over weight male. My BMI was 28% so needless to say I was told to loose some lard.

I have since run London, The Edinburgh Bupa 10km and done various other sporty things to get fitter.

I am still a big guy at six one and 16 stone, but today when measured I was down to 14.3% BMI. I was over the moon until the instructor told me I was now too LOW for my age and should be just over 16%.

Now I have lost weight off my arms, legs and bum, but still have about two stone on my belly :( How can I loose this without lowering the BMI still further??

Any thoughts would be most welcome

Cheers

Stuart

Hi Stuart

I'm afraid I have literally no idea how to answer your question but just wanted to say WOW! I am very impressed...(although it is a little unfortunate that you're now too low :? ) Well done though

Hope someone else can be a bit more helpful...
