Have you heard about this one?A new diet has emerged that involves bingeing one day, then eating very little the next. It's supposed to replicate habits from our hunter gatherer forefathers???
On a side note I just did an image search for caveman and came up with this and just had to add it in...

nothng new bout that I been doing it fer yrs fasting one day then have blow out the next too many people live to eat , when it shld be eat to live ,
you only got to look at the Amazon bush tribes or African natives you rarely see a fat person amongst them thats becuase they only hunt when they feel the need to eat our ancestors 10,000 yrs go were the same .
People today live in fear of hunger pains we live restricted lives and have set times for meals to feed that hunger feeling hunger is good for you and fasting is too after 20mins or so the hunger goes away and the adraliin kicks in which is when the body starts drawing on its reserves of fat to provide the energy .

Alf's bang on. Best diet tip if you ask me - rather than worrying about complex diets, just ask yourself, 'Would people have eaten this 10,000 years ago?'. If not, don't eat it. Just ditch the processed stuff.
Re: fasts. It does make me laugh when people say they can't run after work because they haven't eaten since lunch! I had a 3 day fast recently and ran at the end of it before eating - no problems.

Bear in mind that on this diet you won't be having any processed grains - rice for example, or wheat in all its forms (bread, pasta, etc...) - or milk/cheese (at least from cows anyway).

Isn't that like what most dieters do anyway in terms of stuffing themselves, feeling guilty, and then cutting back on what they eat the next day?
Here, there and everywhere!

Exactly feast to famine is the old approach, not sure if it works though. I wonder what a woolly mammoth would taste like?
