Interesting salads

So it's getting summery and I'm trying to find some interesting salad recipes for lunchtime. Anyone got any ideas for a tasty, healthy salad?

Pulses are great - lentil, walnut and grape salad with a bit of French dressing - gorgeous.

That sounds nice. Never heard of grapes in salad before!

I had a really nice one from M&S the other day - it had sweet potatoes and cranberries in it!

I like to use raw veggies rather than specific salad vegebtables.  Such as chopped courgettes, carrots and peppers.  They are v crunchy and it feels like you are really eating a substantial dish.  To go with I luuuuurve canned mackerel/sardines or a hardboiled egg or two.  Nom, nom nom....

Haha I'm very sorry to be such a letdown! Smile But as they finished making it before I was born it's quite logical I've never seen it! But seriously, they based a whole episode of the show around a waldorf salad??

No it's just a sketch in the episode. You should watch it's great. No way you can limit your tv watching experience to things made after you were born?!

That was when sitcoms could actually be funny - the stuff these days is just unwatchable guff. Not to say there wasn't rubbish around then too but Fawlty Towers is too good to miss.

Any sign of the duck??

I don't know, friends and Seinfeld both had their moments.

But Friends finished long ago! Anyway I was really talking about the British ones. Having said that we used to get utter bilge like Terry & June or Are you Being Served when I was a lad, dear oh dear....

I didn't say I would never watch anything from before I was born, just that it was logical that I may not have seen something from before I was born!

But now you mention it, I do actually only watch shows from after I was born. They're just more my kind of thing. I'm more a fan of modern trash like 9021, Gossip Girl and reality TV! So you can see why Fawlty Towers may not be quite up my street!
