well done to Haile for breaking the world record at Berlin yesterday. 2.04 something, unbelievable!!

Absolutely amazing. For him to do it was even more special as he looked finished in recent races. I thought he'd well passed his peak and was about to retire. To do it at the age of 34 just goes to proves that some runners do improve with age. There's hop for us all.

I agree. Amazing stuff. Is it me or does he look older than 34?

He's said he want to run until 2012 to make the London Olympics, by which time he'll be 39. He'll probably look about 90 by then!

It's strange because Haile has looked a shadow of his former self for a while - don't know if he's been running injured for a while - but his record in Berlin was superb and for a guy of his age it was something else. Gives hope to the returning Paula I bet.
