Classic Favourite: Salad sparsely covered in home made salsa. Served on top black pudding, chicken, bacon, shaved Parmesan, a poached egg and home made french dressing with a sprinkling of fresh cracked black pepper. Gorgeous!!! Experimental Recipe tonight: Meatballs and Spaghetti. Add to a mixing bowl: 2 eggs, 1/2 a grated nutmeg, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 2 teaspoons paprika, 1 chopped bird eye chilli, salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1/2 tablespoon plain flour, a good sprinkling of dried basil and dried mixed herbs. Add to this 1/2 lb lamb mince and 1/2 lb beef mince and mix well. Form mixture into about 12 meatballs. Cook off in a little oil in the frying pan, add 600g passata, a little more basil and 2 tablespoons of worcester sauce. Cook off some spaghetti, mix in with the meatballs and sauce and serve. No idea how this will taste but having it for tea tonight!
