Since its inception in 1997, Bravehearts has been this country’s leading child advocate working tirelessly towards its Mission: to stop child sexual assault in our society. Bravehearts deals exclusively with all aspects of this issue, from delivering specialist counselling and support to countless children and their families, with a strong focus on preventative programs such as its school-based personal safety education program, which to date, has been delivered to over 210, 000 children aged 3-8years throughout the nation. Bravehearts is also active in research, legislative reform, training workshops for parents and practitioners and preventative education.
