    Take a booze break – most people don’t drink alcohol every day, but if you do, try having a couple of consecutive days in the week when you don’t drink at all. Just make sure you don’t increase the amount you drink on the other days.

    You don’t need to go to the gym to get active, why not swap the living room for the garden? Gardening is a great way of getting outdoors and being active – you could even have fun growing your own veggies too!

    Get going at home – clean the car yourself by hand rather than taking it to the car wash.

    If we can see food, it’s human nature to want to eat it. Keep snacks hidden away so you’re not tempted.

    If you have an alcoholic drink with your meal, choose a smaller size - go for a a small glass of wine or small beer instead of a large one. This way you’ll probably drink less - which means fewer calories, and it could save you some money too!

    You don’t need to take up a new sport to get active. Dancing is a great way to get your 150 active minutes.
