Well am slowly getting back on track after a nightmare eating fest at christmas. I only managed to run once or twice a week for the last 3 weeks so am feeling a bit worried!
From today I am going to get back on track and stick to my training plan. I did 3 miles today and a body pump class and if I do stick to what I'm supposed to be doing next week looks like this- Monday 3 miles, Tuesday 4 miles, Wednesday body pump, Thursday 7 miles(!) and saturday 3 miles and body pump....am tired just thinking about it! My motivation is high at the moment though and I have no aches, pains or injuries- probably because I have spent the last three weeks doing nothing!
I am thinking about joining a local running group to do three of the long marathon training runs. You can just turn up on the day and join the run. The first one is on sunday 30 January and its 12 miles. This is a bit longer than I should be doing at that point in time but I may give it a go anyway and just take it easy. It would be a good experience as I am doing all of my training on my own so it would be nice to get some tips from other people.
If anyone else is reading this and running for help the hospices or training in the St Albans area then please get in touch!!
