So the new Kobo reader has a colour e-ink screen. It's a pity the device is a bit rubbish. Colour e-ink sounds amazing.

It's got to be: Kindle for everyday reading (esp large books like The Gormenghast Trilogy) and hardback for the collection of books as artefacts. Paperback? only when not available on hardback!

New Kindle Touch released middle November in America for only $99. Same as the new Kindle design. Hopefully will come to the UK soon.

I'm still a sucker for hardbacks in some cases.

Did anyone see the new Kindle announcements yesterday? I am very tempted by the £89 Kindle!

How about an iPad? I think they're pretty awesome for reading on!

craigbeat 'iPads are terrible for reading on. Battery life is rubbish (kindle can last months), and the screen is very reflective.' 8 months, 2 weeks ago
-
apleyland 'I do want an iPad, but i wouldn't use it to read books/papers/magazines on ... give me a nicely coated good quality gsm paper stock over a screen any day' 8 months, 2 weeks ago

ctopham 'I use the kindle app on the iPad and it is excellent. Kindles seem better in bright light and a book always wins where there is water like a bath!' 8 months ago
