Good to see the original prediction that I made on this page come true.

Quote: "New Zealand will make home advantage count and take the Webb Ellis Trophy. I can't see beyond The Southern Hemisphere teams. England are just not consistent enough to string together a series of wins."

A great effort by the French, I thought they were really unlucky. New Zealand were deserving winners though, without doubt the best squad in the world.

I see in the news today that Lewis Moody has announced his retirement from international rugby - that's a shame and he will be missed by England fans, especially in the forthcoming Six Nations next year.

The Welsh unlucky again today. Scored a great try though. Welldone the Welsh!

The second BIG question. Will NZ bottle it in the final and hand the title to France? I really hope not as I have to say that I wouldn't be overly happy with the French winning...call it my patriotic duty...somehow NZ winning offends me less, ha-ha.

So, the first BIG question - was Alain Rolland right to send off Sam Warburton? I still haven't seen any video footage of this, only a 'still' in one of the papers, but either way...the Rugby Laws say he was right as he is the 'sole arbiter of fact and his decision is final and unquestionable' - nicely worded...unless you're Welsh.

NZ absolutely awesome against the Aussies. Can only see one winner in the final but you never know with the French against the All blacks.

What a bloody joke. Hope whoever wins tomorrow destroys those French bast****s

Didn't see the Wales - France game but sounds like a moment of controversy might have helped decide the outcome...c'est la vie! What do you think Wizard?

    • craigbeat 'To be honest, it looked pretty nasty. Whether or not he should have been sent of as stated by the rules of the game or not, I don't think that matters - a tackle like that shouldn't be allowed. Fair play to a team a man down for most of the match, though - Wales could have, and indeed, should have won it.' 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Allez les Bleus. i'll put the rest of my 'pound bet' on Australia to topple NZ as they're running out of players fast it seems...

  • Notice board

Well done New Zealand - World Champions again after 24 years. Well done France for making the final something worth watching.
