Little known Ferris fact: the film spawned a short-lived NBC TV series in 1990. Featuring none of the original cast, awful writing, awful theme-tune, extremely dislikable Ferris and strong competition from identikit rival show "Parker Lewis Can't Lose", it was thankfully canned after 13 episodes. It did however mark the first major TV role for an pre-Friends Jennifer Aniston playing Ferris' sister Jeannie:

There are also rumours that a sequel might be made. There's a script knocking about where Ferris is turning 40 and having a mid-life crisis, so decides to have another day off. They NEED to make this film, NOW!

Little known Ferris fact: Alan Ruck, who plays best friend Cameron Frye, also appears in the 2007 film "Kickin' it Old Skool" where he plays "Dr. Frye", and mentions that he's "still paying off that damn Ferrari"
