Good last game of the season, what a 'corker'. delighted this new-look England team can overcome more experienced opposition like this, first France then Ireland. This all bodes well for the future. Happy days, well yesterday was anyway.

Merde! Incroyable, mais malhereusement l'equipe Francais ne joue pas assez bien de gagner ce temps. Prochain, 'Le BIG MATCH'.

Perfect start, thanks you Italy. Just need the French to turn on the skills and deprive Wales of the Grand Slam and the last piece of the jigsaw will be an England win over the Irish (by more than 38 points) and the days a good 'un!

What a fantastic result for England in Paris, a definite 'OMG' moment, especially for such an inexperienced team in the face of the 'old lags' from France. Astounding! So now, armed with few mathematical models involving England making up 38 points difference in the For/Against category, oh and beating Ireland whilst Wales take a hammering in Cardiff from France, England will retain their title. Happy Days. I've got a party to organise...

France 17, Ireland 17...and the winner is England (and Wales)! This was a near perfect result for the non-partisan amongst the watching hoards. A good result for England in Paris, and why not, it's a 50:50 call as you either win or lose, and we could be on with a decent finish to this season. Points difference means we'll only finish 2nd at best, but with a new team (players and manager), that isn't so bad straight out of the blocks.

France vs Ireland, Sunday 4th March - venue: Paris. This is the rearranged game and gives us non-partisans a chance to enjoy a potentially good game of rugger without worrying too much about the result...although...an Ireland win would rule out a Grand Slam for the French, and a French win against Wales would do likewise, then all Englishmen would be happy as my mantra is, 'if England can't win the GS, then no one can!'. Confused...you will be. Ireland last won in Paris something like 40 years ago, surely the law of averages is on their side this time?! Or will they need the 'luck of the Irish' to get the win they so desperately want?

A good weekend's rugby when all is said and done. Obviously disappointed with the England result but encouraged by progress since the previous 2 games. Farrell was outstanding at outside half until he had to be substituted due to injury.

Good win for England at the weekend, some might say lucky! I wouldn't disagree! Having sat next to the Italian supporters for the whole evening, I have to say a huge thanks to Charlie Hodgson and Owen Farrell for saving my blushes...oh, and the Italian place kicker who missed 2 sitters in the last few minutes. we were lucky to even see a game as less than 2 hours before KO saw a massive snow storm lay down a good 1+ inches of snow in Rome. The grounds-staff did well to 'mostly' clear the pitch, although it wasn't perfect by a long stretch. Plenty for England to work on for the next game...

England unchanged for the game against Italy. It's been very close the last 2 matches, annoying but true...Saracens players dominate the back line for England. Let's hope they can produce a bit more flair this weekend, especially as I'm travelling all the way to Rome to watch the game. New home for Italy this year at the Stadio Olimpico as the Stadio Flaminio is being refurbished, but potentially a bigger crowd if they sold all the tickets. Should be fun (provided England wins!).

I see Wales has already used it's 'get out of jail free' card for this season. Were they just lucky or were Ireland the authors of their own defeat, or more precisely, that man Ferris?!
