Can there be a universal system for all sports? I don't think so. I do however think that when technology is available it should be used and enforced by the governing body. Take a look at the DRS review system in cricket - the Indian Cricket Board don't agree with it yet all other test playing nations do - it's ridiculous!!!

The goal line officials don't seem to do alot, so lets scrap them and bring in a rugby type system to improve the decisions.

I consider myself a bit of a traditionalist. Mistakes from both players and officials, for me, are part and parcel of sport. But when we've got the technology available, and the opportunity to eradicate clear errors, it seems hard to justify the actions of some governing bodies (ahem....FIFA.....)
