I have been given the opportunity to run in London Marathon 2013. I am running for a mental health charity as my son became mentally unwell in the summer which was traumatic.. Running the marathon has always been one of my goals and I feel so grateful to have won a place. I just need to get more motivated and get back out there running and step up my training.. The most I can do at present, is 2 days a week for 50 min. (Have no ideas about miles) Suppose I best invest in a good
pedometer.. Any suggestions in regards to training, would be much appreciated..

Rob_Barber 'That's a great place to be starting from - 50 minutes is a decent amount of running however far you travel in that time. Best thing you can do for now is step it up to 3 days a week - it doesn't have to be 3 x 50 minutes - slip a 10 or 15 minute run in there to start off with, and build that up over the next 3 or 4 weeks. As you do that physically, find a training plan you like the look of to carry you forward to the marathon. Good luck :-)' 7 months ago
