I'm back.....I can't believe it... I am back on the realbuzz blogs. I missed you guys! Mini update....I tried in vain to use the advent of my 30th birthday as a motivational tool and I am ashamed to admit ... I failed. It transpires that turning 30 wasn't the horrible event that I thought it was going to be. In fact there is something quite nice about not being in my twenties anymore. Unfortuately the upshot of that is me feeling like a lardy, unfit 30 year old! I am also tired...
First recovery run!The GNR this year was fabulous. Atmosphere was brilliant & weather was gorgeous. Despite not beating last year's time of 2.15.51 (I go 2.20.01), I loved every second & will make sure I have more loo breaks next year so I don't have to stop en-route! I did a gym sesh on Tuesday & my first 5k today. Can't wait to do it all again next year. Hope all who did it loved it as much as I did & are recovering well.Alix

First one out of the wayFinally got the first training run out of the way! After feeling rather lethargic over the past few days I had been putting it off. However, after witnessing such a lovely autumn afternoon on my way home from work yesterday I couldn't decline.Decided to do a picturesque route around a large lake towards the north of Oslo called Sognsvann. It's a very beautiful part of the world and the scenery around those woods certainly does help the motivation.According to my Polar S625X...
DarknessWhere did the sun go? Is it just me, or is it getting dark REALLY early now? I ran last night as soon as I got home from work and the sun went down almost immediately. I was racing the darkness back home.I mourn the daylight. My favourite runs are on non-lit paths through naturey areas. Now I'm going to be limited to running them on my long run because it's during the day (and that doesn't help because my very favourite one is the perfect distance for evenings but is definitely not long enough...
Fundraising website up and runningToday I finally set up my fundraising website. The link is http://www.justgiving.com/Vlad2009 It's kind of an important step, so I'm glad I've done it now. Now, all I have to do is it back and watch the total rise and rise and... (I hope!)
